The Anchor is situated in Pyrford, right on the banks of the river Wey, a short distance from West Byfleet and the flagship garden of the Royal Horticultural Society at Wisley.
Comfy furnishings, pictures, blackboards, books, flagstones and fires make for a relaxed atmosphere inside the pub, whilst the lush garden runs along the river side, inviting diners and drinkers to enjoy watching the wildlife and narrow boats glide by. If you are visiting us by narrow boat you can moor your boat directly outside the pub. Our garden also boasts seating for up to 400 guests.
We love dogs, as all good pubs should! Well-behaved dogs are welcome in our bar and outdoor areas. Wi-Fi access is free to all our guests.
Did you know: The current village name 'Pyrford' is derived from the Saxon dialect of Old English combined term 'Pyrianford', which scholars of Old English assert means 'pear tree ford'.
The Anchor is a proud member of the Hall & Woodhouse family. For more information on Hall & Woodhouse and to find other Hall & Woodhouse houses click here.
